Sign In to an Everett VoteWA Record
VoteWA is Washington's authenticated voter registration lookup. Every registered voter automatically has an account, but the portal is not an open name browser. Enter all identity facts exactly as they appear on the registration, complete the reCAPTCHA, and select Sign in. A failed match directs registrants to Elections and gives unregistered people a registration route.

After sign-in, an Everett voter can verify status and addresses, update or reactivate the record, see officials and voting districts, locate drop boxes and voting centers, and follow ballot status. Issued, received, accepted, or challenged describes handling only. It never reveals a marked choice. VoteWA can display and print a replacement ballot, but cannot accept its return.
The official VoteWA sign-in screen shows the exact-name and birth-date gateway.
All three fields authenticate one voter. Broader voter records come through requested state or county data products.
Fields in Washington Voter Records
RCW 29A.08.710 limits the released voter roll to name, address, political jurisdiction, gender, year of birth, voting record, registration date, and registration number. Voting record means election participation, never ballot choices. Washington does not maintain standing party registration, so a presidential-primary declaration does not become a permanent affiliation field.

The state's public-extract guide defines 33 released columns. Structured address parts and precinct values can separate similar names in Everett. A last-voted date can confirm participation in an election, but it cannot identify a candidate, measure, or ballot selection.
What Everett Voter Registration Keeps Private
The original paper form is confidential. Public voter registration data excludes signatures, full birth dates, driver-license or state-ID numbers, Social Security numbers or last four digits, phone numbers, emails, and fields outside the statute's closed list. RCW 29A.08.720 also protects the agency through which a person registered and a choice not to register there. Future-voter information stays exempt until eligibility.
Confidential by law. Full birth dates, identity numbers, signatures, contact details, and protected-voter information never belong in the public voter file.
The Washington Address Confidentiality Program gives qualifying participants a substitute government address. RCW 40.24.060 excludes both a participant's name and address from public voter lists. Washington created the nation's first such program in 1991, and it marked 35 years in 2026.
Note: A missing Everett name or address may reflect lawful protection rather than a flaw in the voter rolls.
Request Washington's Statewide Voter File
The Secretary of State VRDB request supplies either statewide or county-specific voter records. Any requester may apply. The file costs $0 and arrives as a delimited CSV through an emailed link after approval. It covers active voters, current and prior-year voting history, and district and precinct information. It refreshes near the start of each month, and its size may call for database software.

Most requests are immediate, though the state allows up to five business days. Since March 25, 2026, only the Secretary of State answers statewide-database report requests. SB 5892 also made unauthorized election-officer disclosure of full birth dates and certain identity numbers a class C felony.
Snohomish County Lists for Everett Voter History
Snohomish County Elections uses a separate Voter Data and Map Request Form. It asks for contact details, candidate or campaign information where applicable, countywide or district coverage, and up to four elections. Email delivers a CSV history list. Printed maps use pickup.

Contact elections@snoco.gov or 425-388-3444. Elections is on the first floor of the Admin West Building, 3000 Rockefeller Avenue, Everett. In-person service is the fallback for correcting or explaining a specific registration. An election record outside the listed products can follow the office's records channel; general law and request procedure sit with Everett public records.
Inactive Everett Voters Are Not Automatically Cancelled
A returned election mailing can make a registration inactive, but not voting by itself does not cancel it. A new application, address update, or ballot request can reactivate the record. Cancellation follows two federal general elections in inactive status or a defined event such as request, duplicate registration, death, or a disqualifying order or felony. County staff review matches rather than treating one signal as final.
RCW 29A.08.770 keeps notice and removal records open for at least two years. An Inactive code describes list maintenance. It is not proof that a person left Everett or lost eligibility.
Everett's 1915 to 1933 Voter Books
The statewide database began in 2006, yet Everett has a much older local series. The Washington State Archives catalog identifies Everett Municipal Government, City Clerk, Voter Registration Books, 1915-1933, series NW430-6-0-9. These books preserve a name-and-residence trail decades before VoteWA.
The series is not digitized, and its catalog record does not provide a field inventory. Ask the Northwest Regional Branch in Bellingham to confirm volume access and limits before travel. For election history instead of individual voter registration, Snohomish County's results archive reaches back to 1892.
The custody history matters when names cross eras. Everett incorporated in 1893 and became the Snohomish County seat in 1897, while the statewide voter database did not begin until 2006. A person listed in the municipal books may therefore leave related evidence in City Clerk minutes, county court or land files, and later state records. Search the name as written in the register, then test initials, former surnames, and the recorded address in sources from the same year.
Archives is the access channel for the original series because no public image browse is available. Give staff the person's full name, an estimated year, and an Everett address if known. Ask which volume covers the date, whether the entry can be copied, what restrictions apply, and what reproduction fee or appointment rule is current. That focused request avoids assuming that a modern public voter-file field also appears in a historic city ledger.
Note: Never assume the old register uses modern voter-file fields until Archives staff inspects the relevant volume.
A Snohomish Voter Roll Snapshot
The November 4, 2025 county general-election report counted 541,376 registered voters, 190,493 ballots, and 35.19 percent turnout. Those figures are a dated county snapshot, not a live Everett count. Registrations change as people move, update names, qualify, die, or become ineligible. The figures help place participation history in scale without freezing a changing roll.
VoteWA reflects a registrant's personal current status. A public extract reflects its monthly refresh, and the county history list reflects the elections named on the form. Dates and product type matter when two records appear to disagree.
Use Everett Voter Records Lawfully
Washington voter data is not an unrestricted contact list. RCW 29A.08.720 bars its use to mail or deliver commercial advertisements, offers, or solicitations. Political uses are expressly allowed, but recipients must take reasonable steps against downstream misuse. Both state and county request forms put those duties before the requester.
Misuse has real penalties. Never use an Everett voter address to stalk, harass, threaten, or harm another person.
RCW 29A.08.740 makes prohibited use a class C felony punishable by up to five years, a fine up to $10,000, or both. It also creates $5-per-item civil nuisance liability. Store a released file with care and do not pass it to someone who will violate the agreement.
Choose the Right Everett Voter Record Channel
Use VoteWA for one's own live voter registration and ballot status. Pick the free state extract for standardized statewide or Snohomish County public columns. Choose the county form for a list tied to up to four named elections or for a district map. Call or visit Elections when a personal entry needs correction, a form is unclear, or a local election record falls outside those products.
Each channel answers a different question. Authentication protects the personal account. The public CSV removes sensitive fields. The county product follows selected elections, and Archives holds the historic municipal books. A failed sign-in is therefore not proof that no public voter record exists.
